Guy H. Troupe is chiefly responsible for organizational strategy, recruitment, training and client development for Troupe21. Troupe received undergraduate (Magna Cum Laude) and graduate degrees from Howard University. He has also studied Organizational Development and leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University. Formerly employed as a counselor with Associated Catholic Charities and the District of Columbia Public Schools, Troupe launched a career in athletics administration as the recipient of a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) internship.
Following the internship, Troupe worked six years in the enforcement division of the NCAA and was responsible for the creation of new and innovative investigative and educational initiatives currently employed by NCAA Enforcement. He left the NCAA to accept a position as the National Football League's (NFL) Director of Player Programs and served as the Chairman of the Player Development Steering Committee-responsible for all phases of personnel management, program development and evaluation of the NFL's career transition, player assistance and training and development programs. Troupe was promoted to Senior Director for Player and Employee Development and served as the inaugural Chairman of the NFL's Diversity Council prior to leaving the NFL in 2003.
Known for his ability to create and implement programs that focus on skill development, Troupe has been involved in the developmental and implementation of the following: (1) NFL Career Transition Program, (2) NFL High School Coaching Program, (3) NFL Europe Coaching and Administration Program, (4) NFL Rookie Symposium Veteran Facilitation Group, (5) NFL Rookie Symposium Credit Management Program, (6) NFL Diversity Mentoring and Internship Program, (7) NFL Super Bowl Networking Event, (8) NFL/NCAA Life Skills Speakers Bureau, (9) NCAA Advanced Coaching Academy, (10) NCAA Big Brother/Big Sister Program, (11) NCAA Operation Intercept Program, (12) NCAA Football Coaches Academy and (13) John Starks Foundation Save Our Athletes Program.
Troupe, a published poet and national authority in the area of life skills development, has served as a board member for BEES, Incorporated, Sports Professionals Foundation, Professional Business and Financial Network (PBFN) and the Madison Avenue for Kids Foundation.



Troupe21 has developed unique programs, products and processes to address traditional
human resource issues (e.g. performance, teambuilding, leadership, conflict resolution,
communication, values clarification, goal-setting) by training our associates with a
blend of adult education theory and practical applications from team sports
competition.
